I spent my last weekend in Valladolid, together with my Dutch friends. We took the ADO bus to Valladolid to explore this city and its cenotes, and for Sunday Ek Balam was on our schedule. We heard about these ruins before, and it got recommended by the hostel owner as well.

We climbed up the ruin and this was the view! Incredible and breathtaking, and we were even able to see Chichen Itzá as well!

It was very hot and the climb was tough!! But, we made it :)

Theresia and Julia on the top of one of the ruins!

Incredible! Make sure to stop by whenever you get the chance! It is only a 25 minute drive from Valladolid, and taxi's go there every 15 minutes. There is an entrance fee of 193 pesos, which is around 10 euros. But, this is worth it!
Also, there is a cenote near to the site, only 1.5 kilometers walking distance.

This cenote is called Xchan Che, and it is really pretty! It is a more open space with hanging trees, flowers and lots of fishes! Definitely worth the walk and it costs only 30 pesos.
This was Ek Balam! Thanks for watching :)
