SHOPPING IN CANCÚN
LA ISLA CANCÚN
La Isla is a shopping village in the Hotel Zone. There is a mix of western shops, which include Adidas, Armani Jeans, Calvin Klein, Diesel, Guess, Zara and many more. Almost every bus will stop at this mall. Moreover, the food within this area is also very good.
LUXURY AVENUE
You can find this shopping mall right across the street of La Isla. Within this big shopping mall you can find a lot of boutiques and luxury shops, including Max Mara, Pepe Jeans, Burberry, Pandora and Swarovski. At the other side of the mall there is a marina with many beautiful yachts. There is a lot of security and a grocery store upstairs.
MERCADO 28
This is a large market in downtown Cancun with a lot of beautiful and cheap souvenirs, handcrafts, jewelry, clothing, artworks and food. It is located in the urban area of the city centre. They will try to sell you things and be a little pushy. Just remember to negotiate about the price.
PLAZA LA FIESTA
This is an outlet store for typical Mexican things. Such as sombreros, ponchos, beachequipment and many other things. It is a great place to get your souvenirs. You can find this shop in the Hotel Zone.
PLAZA LAS AMERICAS
Plaza Las Americas is a huge shopping mall in the downtown centre.You can find every shop over here and there is a grocery store inside. Since this is a more downtown shopping mall make sure you bring pesos and not dollars, but the prices will also be lower than in the hotel zone. There is also a Liverpool inside, which is a luxury department store.
MERCADO 23
This is the best place downtown to go shopping. There are many little souvenirshops, but also a lot of art shops and good Mexican food. It is important to bring pesos, because the prices are much lower than in the Hotel Zone. The Mercado 23 will give you an authentic Mexican experience.
KUKULCAN PLAZA
This shopping centre is in the Hotel Zone as well. The Kukulcan Plaza mall is very new and also has all the western shops and a grocery store included. About two years ago, there was not one grocery store in the Hotel Zone, which this shopping mall changed.
