The Irish Pub

My roommate asked me if I wanted to come to the Irish Pub and of course I was in for a little party. It was ladies night and I got open bar for only 70 pesos. That is like 5 euros. Once we were in, he introduced me to his friends and I was a little shy in the beginning and didn’t know how to order in Spanish. But the waitress just gave me something and I was okay with it. I met some really nice girls and I just talked with them. It was getting clear to me really soon that Mexicans drink really fast, I mean I am not a slow drinker but I just couldn’t keep up with them. Every time their glass was empty the waitress came and brought a full one but also gave one to me. A few moments later I had like 5 full drinks in front of me and everyone else was laughing at me for being so slow. But that was not the only problem; I have a really tiny bladder, if you know what I mean. Every 5 minutes I needed to go to the bathroom to make more space for more drinks. Thankgod a girl asked me to dance and dragged me away from all those drinks. The was trying to teach me how to do the Salsa and back in the Netherlands I thought had some serious hip moves but now I just felt like a wooden plank next to all the Mexican swinging booties. And on top of that they were all wearing really high heels, which I respect, but still I was taller than them. So now I felt like a whole wooden tree. But I couldn’t care less, I felt no shame, probably with some help of Mr Alcohol, and showed my moves. I was so happy that all these girls where just so nice and hang with me. If is definitely worth going again because this evening was really nice in spite of all the differences.
