To the hotel zone

I’ve been here for several days now and I did not manage to go to the Hotel Zone and the beach yet. The weather was not so great today so Lydia told me that the beach wouldn’t look that beautiful today. But I wanted to go anyway. We decided to take the car and drive though the Hotel Zone by car and step out of it to see the beach. And so we did. I was amazed how everything was completely different from downtown Cancun. At this moment I really realised what a touristic city it is with two completely different worlds. However, it was beautiful, everything was so big and the hotels were truly amazing. The further you drive through the Avenida Kukulkan the bigger the hotels get. We drove by the ‘club centre’ (that’s how I call it) and it looked really nice, I should definitely go here some time. When I made friends... because that is still an issue, where can I find volunteers to hang out with me? We drove by several big shopping malls and ended up at a sort of viewpoint where there were some stairs down to the beach. The beach was so beautiful, I mean really, even the sun wasn’t there, it was stunning, nothing like in the Netherlands where you have really beautiful beaches too. It really felt like a holiday for a moment. It was getting dark and we decided to stay at the viewpoint and not take the stairs to the beach. It started to rain and we headed back home.
