MY PARENTS VISITING CANCÚN

Today my parents made the big trip to go from Holland to Cancún. I saw them at 6 o’clock at their hotel, Margaritas Hotel at Avenida Carlos Nader. Luckily Lidia brought me there, because it would be a disaster for me to find it. When I got to their room we talked about their flight and how I am doing here in Cancún. They also gave me dutch food, like hagelslag and drop, which we don’t have here in Cancún and I missed so much. They also brought me pesos and dollars from Miquel and a bracelet from Miquel’s sister, made by herself, for Kika. It is beautiful! After that we walked to a restaurant somewhere at Avenida Tulum. It is a typical Mexican restaurant and we ate a delicious Mexican dish with meat, guacamole and tortillas, we drank some good wine, and my father ofcourse a good old Corona. I told him to try an ojo rojo (red eye), it is beer with tomato sauce and some spicy shit, which I’ve tried the other day. Mexicans seem to like it, I am not sure, it tastes like tomato soup. But we’ll take that another day. There was also some spicy sauce on the table, which I didn’t try. But after seeing my mom tasting the sauce and saw here face, I knew for sure that it was spicy and that I wouldn’t like it. While we were enjoying our food, some Mexican musicians showed up at our table and played a Spanish song with their guitars. My parents knew the song and sang along. It’s too bad I didn’t make any pictures, only my mom did. That is why I put an old picture of my parents in this post, made a couple of years ago in France. It was a fun night and I am so happy my parents are here, so they can see how it’s like to live here in Cancún. Tomorrow they are going to Chichen Itza and for the rest of the week they have a lot of places to visit with their tour. Have fun mom and dad! See you on Sunday ;)
