A couple of weeks ago, on a sunday, I went with my hostfamily and their friends to Sian Ka’an and Muyil. It was a couple of hours driving, so we left in the morning. Luiz, the man in de family, told me about typical Mexican food. The difference between tacos, tortillas and casedillas. Those differences are minimum! It depends on the size and if there is cheese on it. When we finally arrived at the place where our boats should be ready, we discovered that there was something wrong with the reservations. Lidia told me she was a real problem solver, so she went to solve this problem. I couldn’t understand anything, they were speaking too fast and too spanish. But at the end, we had two boads for eight people and we were ready to go! The weather was amazing. The sun was shining and there was enough wind, perfecto. After a while Lidia told me I had to look into the water. It was so blue and clear, you could see the fishes and the ground. We went through canals which the Mayans made thousands of years ago and we arrived at the place where we could go off the boat. There was a mini Mayan house where they used to live in. You saw the little detailes about the days and months in a year and there was something with different colors. Every Mayan tribe had his own color or something like that, I couldn’t understand everything. But then, the best part of the trip began. We were allowed to swim in one of the canals, actually not swim but you had to flow with the current. It was so nice and relaxing, and most of all beautiful. We saw birds, fishes and amazing plants. I definitely want to go here again!
